How this works
Pace is the time one kilometre takes. Speed in km/h is 60 divided by your pace in minutes per km, so 6:00 per km is 10 km/h. The race estimates use the Riegel formula, a standard rule of thumb: time at the new distance equals your time times the distance ratio to the power 1.06. It assumes you have trained for the longer distance, so treat it as a guide, not a promise.
Know your pace. Track every run.
Treqz Run logs your pace on every run and turns your loops into territory on the map. It opens soon.
Quick questions
What is a good running pace?
It depends on your fitness, age, hills and weather. Compare yourself with your own earlier runs rather than with other people.
How do I turn pace into speed?
Divide 60 by your pace in minutes per km. A pace of 5:00 per km is 12 km/h, and 6:00 per km is 10 km/h.
How accurate are the race estimates?
They are a rule of thumb for runners who have trained for the longer distance. A marathon estimate from a 5K time is the least reliable.
