- Bengaluru has a lot of run clubs, many of them free and open to beginners. Each one runs its own schedule, so check its page first.
- Cubbon Park is the best-known meeting spot; clubs also run from HSR Layout, Sarjapur Road and other neighbourhoods.
- This list only includes clubs whose own page, an event page or a club directory we opened this year.
Bengaluru has plenty of run clubs, and most welcome beginners. The clubs below are ones we could confirm from their own site, an event page or a club directory in 2026; join the one whose time, place and pace suit you.
How run clubs work in Bengaluru
From what the clubs say on their own pages, there is no single model. Cubbon Run is a free 5K held every Sunday in Cubbon Park. Stride Run Club says it is free and organises two to three community runs a week across the city, with runners checking in at each run. Runner's High is built around training programmes, from a 5K beginner plan up to marathon and ultra distances. New Balance Run Club ran a coached 5K speed session in HSR Layout in June 2026, free to book and followed by yoga and refreshments.
So expect a mix: free social runs, structured training groups and brand-run sessions. Many are not formal organisations with fixed membership, so the day-to-day detail (start point, time, pace groups) usually lives on Instagram or a WhatsApp group.

Bengaluru run clubs we could verify
Details are exactly what each source says. Where a source did not state a day, time or place, we have left it out.
| Club | Where it runs / meets, as stated | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Cubbon Run | Cubbon Park. Its site describes a free 5K every Sunday at 8:00 AM. (One third-party guide gives 6 AM, so confirm on the day.) | cubbon.run |
| Stride Run Club | Across Bengaluru, two to three runs a week. Its Events page lists the dates and venues; the home page does not name a fixed spot. | strideclub.in |
| Runner's High | Bangalore, with an office on Sarjapur Road. Training programmes from a 5K beginner plan to marathon and ultra. The page does not say where sessions happen. | runnershigh.in |
| PaceX RunClub | A Bangalore running community. A city running-tracks guide says it holds weekly runs at Cubbon Park and Ecoworld, Sarjapur, with post-run coffee. | PaceX, magicpin guide |
| New Balance Run Club (Bengaluru) | A brand-run club. Its 13 June 2026 session was a free 5K speed workout at 5:30 AM at Kick On Sweat On, ITI Layout Main Road, HSR Layout, led by certified coaches. | Event listing |
| Bengaluru Frontrunners | Listed under Bangalore in the international Frontrunners club directory, an LGBTQ+ running organisation. The directory page gives no meeting details, so ask the club. | Frontrunners directory |
This is a short list on purpose, not a ranking. Dozens of other clubs exist, and many only post on Instagram, which we could not open reliably.
Popular places to run in Bengaluru
A single city guide (magicpin's running tracks page, which contradicts itself on some distances, so we leave out its numbers) describes these as common places for runners:
- Cubbon Park: central, free to enter, and the base for several clubs above.
- Lalbagh Botanical Garden: Mavalli, with early-morning runner entry.
- Sankey Tank: Malleshwaram, a lake path used in early mornings and evenings.
- Ulsoor Lake and Agara Lake: loop paths open from dawn.
Gate timings and entry rules change, so check the park's current notice. For heat and air tips, see running in Indian heat and monsoon.

What to bring and what to ask before joining
- Bring: water, comfortable running shoes, a phone for the group chat, and a little cash or UPI for the coffee afterwards.
- Ask: Is it free? What pace do beginners run at? Is there a shorter route? Who is the contact if I am late or lost? Is there a sign-up or RSVP?
- Go easy: if you have a heart, joint or breathing condition, talk to a doctor before starting. A 5K starter plan helps if you are new.
More on the first-day etiquette is in how to join a run club in India.
Clubs change: check before you turn up
Run clubs start, pause and move. Several of the sources above were captured earlier this year, and some clubs only share the start point after you RSVP. Look at the club's latest post, then arrive a few minutes early.

Quick questions
Are Bengaluru run clubs free?
Some are. Cubbon Run describes itself as a free 5K every Sunday, and Stride Run Club calls itself a free community. Other clubs run paid training programmes, so ask before you go.
Do I need to be fast to join a run club in Bengaluru?
Not usually. Cubbon Run is a 5K you can do at your own pace, and one New Balance Run Club session in 2026 was described as suitable for all levels. Look for the words 'all levels' or 'beginner' on the club's page.
Where do I find the exact meeting point?
On the club's own page, Instagram or WhatsApp group. Several clubs post the start point close to each run, so a place that was right last month may have changed.
Can I run in the city on weekdays too?
Many people do. Parks such as the ones listed on our run clubs page and lake loops are used all week; just avoid the hottest hours, as covered in our heat and monsoon guide.
